About the Temple

Our Ayodhya Temple was built in 1871 by our For fathers, the temple has an idol of Ram Sita and Laxman ji and Hanuman ji. A world was dug in the year 1879 and since then the temple gets pure water till today, the area of the temple is around 14,000 ft.² which is on the main Ramparh Road of Ayodhya. Our Temple is just 500 m away from Hanumangarhi temple and the main temple of Shri Ramji, our temple is a one story building, which consist of the main courtyard and several rooms where our forefathers used to come and stay at Ayodhya As time passed the Kishore Saran family became a extended family and the maintenance of the temple was neglected. Recently in 2023, we registered a Trust namely Thakur Ram Janaki Patna Mandir Trust so that the temple property could be maintain and regular Puja can be performed in future. Our main aim is to restructure and maintain the temple and the main structure so that the revenue could be generated to meet the expenses of the temple at Ayodhya.

Establishment of the Trust

Over time, the extended Kishore Saran family found it difficult to ensure regular maintenance and religious practices. To revitalize the temple and manage its affairs responsibly, the Thakur Ram Janaki Patna Mandir Trust was formally registered in 2023.

Historical Background

Our ancestors, frequent pilgrims to Ayodhya, envisioned a sacred space where their devotion could take root. The temple became both a place of worship and a spiritual retreat for our family. In 1879, a well was dug within the temple premises, which continues to provide pure water to this day—symbolizing divine continuity and purity.

Historical Background

Spread across approximately 14,000 square feet, the temple stands prominently on Rampath Road, in Meerapur, Babu Bazaar, Ayodhya. It is just 500 meters from Hanumangarhi Temple and close to the sacred Shri Ram Janmabhoomi, making it a spiritually significant and easily accessible destination.
The temple is a single-storied structure, comprising:

  • A spacious main courtyard
  • Sanctum sanctorum for the deities
  • Several residential rooms once used by our forefathers

While the original structure retains its charm, it now requires preservation and care to safeguard its sanctity and legacy.
